Freelance writer Thomas Ferraro is the former national feature writer and White House reporter for United Press International. During the Gulf War, he was one of UPI’s combat correspondents. He then joined the New York Post, followed by posts at Bloomberg and Reuters, where he became its senior congressional correspondent. Aside from The Ethel, his work has appeared in several publications, including the Smithsonian Magazine, The Baltimore Sun, and AARP Maryland's Bulletin magazine.
