Danna Walker’s personal essays, articles and literary non-fiction have appeared in The Washington Post, Months to Years, and Sixty and Me, among other publications. She is a former professor at American University and the author of an academic book on the Women’s Institute for Freedom of the Press, as well as other scholarly work. A longtime journalist, she got her Ph.D. at 50 and started a career at an internet startup a decade later. Now devoted to writing, fitness and volunteering, she lives in Kensington, MD, with her husband and schnoodle. She has two adult children and a son-in-law and tries to celebrate these and other milestones often.
